Rivers
Notable rivers of Brahmanpara upazila are Gomti, Salda and Ghunghur. The river Gomti flows through the south-western side of Brahmanpara upazila. The two banks of the river have been constructed by the Water Development Board. Gumti originated in the hills of the Indian state of Tripura. The length of Gumti is 130 kilometers. 122 meters. It flows through Sadar, Burichang, Brahmanpara, Debidwar, Muradnagar of Comilla and joins Meghna with Daudkandi. At present, goods are transported from one place to another through the river Gumti on a limited scale. Moreover, this Gomti Debidwar, that is, Comilla, was sad because there were no barriers. At present agriculture is done by the water of this Gumti river. In addition, many fish are found in this river. The river Salda flows in the north-eastern direction of Brahmanpara upazila. Kasba upazila of Brahmanbaria district is located on the north side of Saldandil. Moreover, Ghunghur river flows through the central part of Brahmanpara upazila.
